June 10 Dinner at the Milbrook Club Will Feature Talk on Cutting-Edge Innovation Issue - Powering Data Centers and the AI Revolution
Please join us for the club's annual meeting and dinner on Wednesday, June 10, at the beautiful Milbrook Club in Greenwich. This year we are delighted to feature a speaker with Fairfield County roots whose work is addressing one of the most visible and challenging technological and policy questions today: powering data centers and the AI revolution. David Jaramillo, '15 is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Verne, which provides scalable, co-located power to data center campuses.
David's path to energy technology and entrepreneurship began at Brunswick School, continued at Harvard College, where he earned an A.B. in Chemistry, and led him to UC Berkeley, where he completed his Ph.D. in Chemistry and Materials Science as a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. After Berkeley, David was named a Breakthrough Energy Innovator Fellow — a program backed by Bill Gates — to commercialize next-generation energy technologies. He holds multiple energy patents and 500+ academic citations.
Today, David applies that technical foundation to a commercial challenge at the center of the AI era: how to deliver clean, reliable, firm power directly to the data centers that train and run the world's most powerful models.
He is an Independent's Climate 100 (2024) honoree, a Forbes 30 Under 30 (2021) recipient, and lives in New York City
We will begin with cocktails and conversation at 6 pm, with dinner (including a brief annual meeting) starting at 7 pm. David's remarks will follow, with a lively question and answer.
As is one of our most enjoyable traditions, we will also welcome students in Harvard’s newly admitted class of 2030 from our area to the Harvard community.
