Harvard-Yale Football party in SOUTHPORT
The Harvard Club of Fairfield County invites you to join us on Saturday, November 22 for a watch party for the 141st playing of The Game at the historic Horseshoe Tavern and Cafe in Southport! We are pleased to include our friends from the Harvard Club of Southern Connecticut (HCSC) and the Harvard-Radcliffe Club of Westchester (HRCW). Come cheer on the Crimson with your family and Harvard friends, meet other local alumni, and enjoy delicious party platters!
For those who may be wondering, despite our best efforts, we were unable to agree on terms with Yale for an on-site tailgate event that we thought would be fun and cost-effective. So we are excited to offer our own gathering closer to home where we can support the Crimson and enjoy the game in rousing Harvard company!
Date and time: Saturday, November 22. We will begin gathering at 11:30 am for the 12 noon kickoff.
Location: The Horseshoe Tavern and Cafe, 355 Pequot Avenue, Southport, CT
Parking: There is ample free parking within walking distance, either on the street or in the train station lot (accessible through the Post Office driveway across the road from the Horseshoe).
We strongly encourage you to please register in advance to help us with our planning.
Registration includes heavy appetizers, such as wings and nachos.
Cash bar is separate. You may also order and pay for your own burgers, sandwiches, etc. directly with The Horseshoe.
Preregistration is $25 per person for members of HCFC, HCSC and HRCW; $37 per person for nonmembers.
Walk-in registration is $40 per person (regardless of membership status), cash or check only, subject to capacity.
