Dinner at Chef Prasad's Indian Kitchen in New Canaan
Enjoy a delicious, five-course meal with a cooking demonstration and Q&A with Chef Prasad.
Our culiniary tour of Fairfield County rolls on with a return visit to Chef Prasad’s Indian Kitchen in New Canaan on May 22! Our first visit in 2023 sold out and had a long waiting list, so we're making a second trip.
Chef Prasad will be preparing an extravagant five-course meal featuring a chaat course, Manchurian-style fritters, lamb kofta, butter chicken and dessert. He will be hosting our event at his private dining room, located at 62 Main Street. The dinner will be a unique, interactive experience featuring cooking demonstrations and Q&A. Attendance will be limited to just 30 guests, so please sign up for this special engagement before it is full!
Chef Prasad’s culinary journey began in India where he first learned to cook at his mother’s side. At the age of 18, he enrolled at the Food Craft Institute of Poona, where he studied culinary arts and restaurant management. During this time, he worked at the Ritz Hotel in Hydarabad, developing his cooking skills and focusing on creating unparalleled experiences for his guests. In 1986, he arrived in the US with just one hundred dollars in his pocket. Restarting his career, he began working as a busboy in Long Island, eventually becoming co-owner of six successful restaurants in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. In 2001, he became sole owner and executive chef of Thali in New Canaan, where he continues to focus on creating amazing experiences for his patrons.
Please join us for an incredible evening of culinary exploration!
