3.2 for Ben
Run with the Harvard community to support one of our own.
On Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 9 am, there will be a group run at Tod's Point in Greenwich as part of the 5th annual "3.2 for Ben" event. We are helping the local captain spread the word about this event in support of a member of the Harvard community.
In 2017, Ben Abercrombie, '21, suffered a severe spinal injury during his first football game for the Crimson. Since then, the Harvard community has rallied behind Ben and his family in an annual fundraising run of 3.2 miles, echoing Ben's jersey number, 32, to help fund his recovery and care. The campaign has given rise to a new permanent endowment, the Benson M. Abercrombie '21 Fund, to suport the Abercrombie family and any future Harvard athletes who may suffer catatrophic injuries in play.
If you would like to join the run - or to make a donation - go directly to the registration page! ("Fairfield County Team" - team captain, Nicholas Stern).
We understand that registration will be open up to the run day, but the last day to register and get a t-shirt and bib before race day is Friday November 8.
