Concert at Orchestra Lumos
Join us for a concert and reception with Orchestra Lumos on either Saturday, May 4 or Sunday, May 5.
The Harvard Club of Fairfield County has just been invited to attend a concert and special reception with Orchestra Lumos, conducted by Maestro Michael Stern '82 and featuring rising star soloist Chelsea Guo. The exciting program includes Edvard Grieg's brilliant Piano Concerto played by Fairfield County's own Ms. Guo who has already attracted international attention and praise for her artistry. The program concludes with Nicolai Rimsky Korsakov’s epic work, Scheherazade, including four tales from Arabian Nights that are brilliantly recast in music of unmatched color and power. The concert is a unique opportunity to see and meet an exceptional young pianist who will surely be well-known in the music world in years to come.
Before the concert, there will be a special Club reception with Maestro Stern. During intermission, soloist Chelsea Guo will join the Club members for drinks in the upstairs Donor Lounge.
Date: Saturday 4 May and Sunday 5 May
Time: Saturday 6:45pm for the pre-concert reception and 7:30pm for the concert
Sunday 2:15pm for the pre-concert reception and 3:00pm for the concert
