Harvard Day of Giving in Fairfield County - April 26th

At the Browne Preserve in New Canaan - 9:30 am. There is no charge, but please register so we can send you some background material.

Come join us outdoors at the Browne Preserve in New Canaan.  Enjoy the day in the woods.  Learn about how invasive plants are starving our bird population.  Observe the results of a crown release program.  Learn how to build a brush pile that gives cover and habitat for small mammals and amphibians.

Practice building a couple of brush pile habitats from the slash remaining from the crown release.  All in all, enjoy a pleasant day in this lovely wildlife preserve with magnificent oaks, splended sugar maples and large lagoon -- and benefit the local ecology.

The day will be under the supervision of Bill McKinney, President of the Harvard Club of Fairfield County and licensed arborist and conservation planner.  Bill will disucss invasive plants and habitat planning and answer all questions.
