Please save the date for the Harvard Club of Fairfield County's 2017 Annual Dinner on Thursday, June 8th.  We are excited to welcome Washington veteran and Westport resident Joseph Califano as our speaker.  Secretary Califano has had a distinguished and prolific career throughout the United States government, as well as in law, business, and academia.  Before serving as Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare under President Carter, he was General Counsel to the Department of the Army, and a White House aide to President Johnson, a job in which The New York Times dubbed him the "Deputy President for Domestic Affairs."   After serving in the cabinet, he went on to found both his own law firm in Washington and the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University.  He serves as a director of CBS Corporation and a trustee of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, among many other prominent business and philanthropic organizations.

This year the dinner returns to our traditional venue, the beautifully-renovated Country Club of Darien.
Cocktails and conversation begin at 6 pm, followed immediately by Secretary Califano's remarks and then dinner.  The cost is $55 for members and their guests, $75 for non-members and their guests
