Harvard Day of Giving with Trout Unlimited at Mianus River Park

Come join members of Trout Unlimited who will gather on that day to do some cleaning work, planting and river improvements in order to preserve the natural fish habitat.

On Saturday, April 24th, the Harvard Club of Fairfield County once again will be joining with Trout Unlimited to help preserve a natural fish habitat. This is a fun activity that also provides a valuable service.

We will be working in a muddy stream, so if you come wear boots and jeans that can get wet.  It also will help to bring gloves and shovels for the work.

The parking lot is located on Merriebrook Lane in Stamford.  Please do not park on the street, as the Stamford Police Department will write tickets.  We will meet by the Red Barn at 9am.  Anyone running late can walk over the bridge, go about thirty yards past the hill, through the gate on the right and follow the main trail to find us at the stack of old Christmas trees.

The morning will conclude with food provided by the Mianus Chapter of Trout Unlimited.  Here is a link to a brochure about Mianus River Park, http://www.ct.gov/dot/LIB/dot/Documents/dbikes/108.pdf.

If you are coming, please click here to register (it's free) so that we can provide an accurate number to our friends at Trout Umlimited.
